Hmm, if anything, the one behind, the purple one is my favorite. I've never watched Evangelion before but I think their robot designs (half robot? I hear they're supposed to be half organic or something) rock.
Yeah, you could say that the mecha are half organic.. In the anime, the armours main purpose is not to protect, but as restrains for the organic body; a way to control it.
